Calendar - Club Social Events
The Club offers a variety of social activities for members who enjoy hitting the open road in their Alfas - or simply enjoy the company of other Alfisti. Activities range from restaurant evenings to extended week-ends away in the country. Occasionally, a social outing will coincide with the opportunity for members to display their pride and joy at a classic car show or other display. The Club's insurance coverage for events is provided by Motorsport Australia. Members' family, potential Club members and non-members may attend Club events, however it is the Club's policy that they sign an Event Disclaimer and Indemnity acknowledging that they participate at their own risk and indemnifying the Club, Committee and Members against all or any claims, suits, actions, demands and costs from injury or damage.

Sun - May 18 - 2025 Ormiston House | 50th Anniversary Show and Shine - Ormiston House Estate is a heritage-listed property at 277 Wellington Street, Ormiston. The house is surrounded by gardens and offers a stunning view out over the bay. It has hosted two magnificent Club concours, the first in 2015 and the second in 2017. We will be returning to Ormiston House for a Show and Shine to celebrate the Club's 50th Anniversary. Check out the 50th Anniversary page for more information and details on how to enter your Alfa. |
Fri - Jun 13 - 2025 Lightspace, Fortitude Valley | 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner - Join other Alfa Romeo enthusiasts for an Italian-style dinner to celebrate 50 years of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club in Queensland. The evening will include the launch of our 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book. We will have music and dancing and, of course, there will be cake - it's our birthday, after all. When: Friday 13 June 2025 (6.30pm to 11pm). Where: Lightspace, Scanlon Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Dress: Smart casual. Cost: $110 per person. [More information and link to booking form] |
Sun - Jun 15 - 2025 JC Slaughter Falls | AROCA 50th Birthday Picnic - JC Slaughter Falls, 38 Sir Samuel Griffith Dr, Mount Coot-Tha. Join us as we celebrate AROCA Qld's 50th Birthday. Bring your picnic rugs, pack your lunch, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the beautiful surroundings with fellow members. Meet at 11:00am - or whenever suits you. This is an open event, and we'll be sharing the space with the public, so let's hope for great weather and a perfect spot! |
Sun - Jul 6 - 2025 Caboolture Airfield, Caboolture | Mac's Bridge Car and Plane Display - Triumph Sports Owners Association Qld, in conjunction with the MX5 Club Qld and Caboolture Aero Club in organising this event. In addition to the usual car displays, visitors will be able to view classic aircraft exhibits. There will be a food court featuring an undercover seating area adjacent to vans offering a variety of menus and drinks. Three awards for "Presidents Choice" will be presented at 11:00am. Gates open 7:00am for display cars and 9:00am for visitors. Entrance fees: Display Car - $20 per car. Visitors (including parking) - $15 per car. Payment is available at the gate via cash or eftpos, but pre-booking is highly recommended. Book and pay online: www.trybooking.com/CXYNH. How to get there: Travelling from Brisbane along the Bruce Highway, take Bribie Island off ramp (exit 152A) and proceed towards Bribie, keeping in left lane. Take the left turn at the first set of traffic lights, keeping in the right hand of the two left turn lanes. Sun - Sep 7 - 2025 Bellthorpe Range - Rick's Garage | The famous Bellthorpe Run - Meet at KFC Caboolture BP North, M1, Caboolture. Start 10am for 10:30am departure - make sure you're equipped with coffee and nibbles to sustain you! Morning tea is at CJ Pastries (100 Archer St, Woodford) approx 11:15am, then through Bellthorpe Range Rd - narrow, twisty, and steep! Lunch at Rick's Garage (14 Margaret Street, Palmwoods) @ approx midday. There might be parking outside of the venue, but if you're not that lucky, continue 100m and turn left into Fewtrell St. Rick's Garage has a rear entrance on this street, and you can usually find parking there. email social@arocaqld.com so we know that you're coming! |
Sun - Oct 19 - 2025 Moogerah Dam | Moogerah Dam Run - Meet at Rocks Riverside Park entry from Counihan Road Seventeen Mile Rocks. Enter the park and follow the road right round towards the exit and we will meet at the last carpark in the park. Meeting time 9.30am for a 10.00am departure: We will proceed onto Centenary Highway cross over Ipswich Motorway and go past Springfield turn left at the Yamanto turnoff onto the Ipswich Boonah Road turn right at Peak crossing onto Moogerah Dam via Kalbar. It's a short run of about 70 mins and ideal for all Alfas. Pack a morning tea and bring your own lunch, chairs and picnic rugs - there are seats there if we're enough lucky to nab one, and there's a cafe for those wanting a real coffee. |
Sun - Oct 26 - 2025 Queensland Raceway | Show'n'Shine plus happy laps - Show 'n Shine plus happy laps. This year to align with the AROCA-Qld Qld 50th Anniversary celebration this event will be held at Queensland Raceway, 133 Champions Way, Willowbank. Racing will be for Race and Road cars but must have MSA or AASA licence. Happy Laps is for AROCA members and is a fun, safe, and exciting experience to show off your Alfa and enjoy some track time, and will start after the morning's track events. |
Sun - Nov 16 - 2025 Gold Coast Hinterland | Earl's Gold Coast Hinterland Run - The now-traditional end-of-year run organised by Doug and Cynthia Earl. We usually meet at Jubilee Park on Telemon Street, Beaudesert at 9.30am for a 10am departure. Route after that is yet to be confirmed. |
