Calendar - Club Social Events

The Club offers a variety of social activities for members who enjoy hitting the open road in their Alfas - or simply enjoy the company of other Alfisti. Activities range from restaurant evenings to extended week-ends away in the country. Occassionally, a social outing will coincide with the opportunity for members to display their pride and joy at a classic car show or other display.

Redbank, Toowoomba, Nobby
Range and Rudd's Run - This run starts at 10am in the car park of Redbank Plaza, Redbank. We'll use the motorway to head up to the beautiful city of Toowoomba, where we'll have a cuppa at one of the local cafes. Then we'll head south to the town of Nobby, about halfway to Warwick, where we'll have lunch at the famous Rudd's Pub (www.ruddspub.com.au). This run is about two hours of driving, plus getting home, so make sure you make sure you have enough fuel before starting, so that you don't need to make a splash and dash.

Dinner night and new members' welcome - With April and May busy with Alfesta and the Concours and the Sports and Classic Car Festival, we thought we'd have a simple dinner together, and use it as an opportunity to welcome those who have joined the club in the preceding year or so. Jimboomba to Wongawallan via Christmas Creek
Christmas Creek Run - Come and drive through a lovely part of SE Qld's Scenic Rim. Starting at the Shell Service Station on Mt Lindsay Highway at Jimboomba (also called the Coles Express in some directories) at 10 am, we'll head down to Beaudesert, then loop back to there via Christmas Creek and Kerry. We'll have a cuppa in Beaudesert, and then head up over Tambourine Mountain to Wongawallan for lunch at the Fox and Hounds Pub.

Caboolture, Bellthorpe Range, Palmwoods
Bellthorpe Range Run - Starting at the KFC Caboolture BP North Service centre (just off the Bruce Highway) at 10am, we'll run up to Woodford for a cuppa. Then we'll drive along part of the Bellthorpe Range Rd, which should give our Alfas a chance to dance and sing (should you wish it to do so, within the law and considering safety of course). Then we'll head for lunch at Rick's Garage, which was well regarded when we went there last time, and it has only gotten better since then.

Peak's Crossing
2017 Peak Crossing Charity Day - The E + F Type Register of the Jaguar Drivers Club of Queensland invites Alfa Romeo members to the Charity Day at Peak Crossing from 10am onwards. This event, supporting the Fassifern Valley Rotary Club is the only multi car club event in South East Queensland with no general public entry. Attendance is by invitation only and participating members must RSVP to be included in the day. Entry is restricted to 200 cars attending on a first come basis. An early reply ensures you don’t miss out on this great day. Entry fee at the gate will be $15 per car. Rotary Club will be serving refreshments, including morning tea and lunch at nominal cost and your support. A mobile coffee vehicle will also attend. AROCA member, Tony Nelson, will be co-coordinating our Club's attendance. RSVP by 1 August directly to Tony: eandftyperegister@gmail.com advising the car that you will bring and the number of participants. Also advise if you will drive direct to Peak Crossing or join us for a country drive beforehand to arrive at Peak Crossing around 10am.
